This is an easy and delightful trip, great for introducing children or adults to backpacking, without having to have your own gear and carry it in. Our trips have included people aged 5 to 75! Enjoy giant Douglas-fir and cedar trees, hiking along the Lewis River, always clear with beautiful pools and rapids, and getting to know the llamas. The trip provides a perfect opportunity for springtime and early summer solitude in a very peaceful setting.
Typically we meet up at Eagle Cliff Store and Campground at 9 am, then drive 5 miles to the trailhead for the hike. There is limited parking at the trailhead, no restrooms, and no Forest Pass is required.
Lunch is provided on the first day, as well as meals and snacks in between.
